Happy Soils Program

Soil Recovery & Remediation Program

Biological soil support for degraded, compacted, saline, chemically impacted and low-function soils where rebuilding the soil system is the priority.

Damaged soil needs a system response

Degraded soil is not fixed by one input. Compaction, poor biology, low organic matter, salinity, acidity, chemical residues and poor root-zone function usually work together. The Happy Soils Soil Recovery & Remediation Program is designed to support biological function, nutrient cycling, soil structure and plant establishment in compromised soils.

Biological reset

Introduces and supports beneficial biology to help restart soil function and root-zone activity.

Carbon support

Uses Activate to feed microbial activity and support the biological energy cycle in the soil.

Plant establishment

Supports vegetation establishment where soil conditions are limiting growth and recovery.

Standard Soil Recovery Application Rates

Timing Product Rate Objective
Initial soil recovery application Heal N’ Shield Granules 30 kg/ha provisional Biological establishment and root-zone recovery support.
Initial biological activation Activate 30 L/ha Carbon feeding, microbial stimulation and soil structure support.
Follow-up activation Activate 30 L/ha every 3–6 months where required Ongoing support for degraded or low-function soils.
Plant establishment / stress recovery Energise Microelements 2.5 L/ha standard; 5 L/ha high demand Supports plant function, micronutrient availability and stress response.
Severe deficiency or high-demand recovery Energise Microelements Up to 10 L/ha only under agronomic direction Reserved for specific soil-test or plant-demand situations.
Soil recovery programs should not be finalised without a soil test. Where contaminants are involved, contaminant testing and professional environmental advice may also be required.

What should be tested first

Recovery programs should be based on evidence. At minimum, review pH, EC, organic matter, sodium, chloride, phosphorus, potassium, nitrogen, calcium, magnesium, trace elements and compaction. For remediation projects, also test for relevant heavy metals, chemical residues or site-specific contaminants.

Degraded soil

Low biological activity, low organic matter, compaction and poor structure require a staged recovery plan.

Saline or sodic soil

EC, sodium, chloride, calcium and magnesium balance must be understood before the program is finalised.

Chemically impacted soil

Residual herbicides, pesticides, industrial contamination or heavy metals require a separate risk review.

Recovery starts with knowing what is broken.

Send through the soil test, site history and recovery objective. Happy Soils can review the biological pathway and identify the right starting program.
