Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy explains how Happy Soils handles personal information collected through happysoils.com.au and related enquiries, farm program reviews and research-update requests.
Information we collect
When you contact us or complete a form, we collect the information you provide. This may include your name, email address, telephone number, business or farm name, location, production type, approximate hectares, current inputs, questions and program goals. If you choose to upload a soil test or other file, we also receive the information in that file.
Website systems may record technical information such as IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, referring pages, form interactions and security or error logs. Cookies and similar technologies may be used to operate the site, measure traffic and support embedded services.
How we collect information
We collect information directly from website forms, email and telephone enquiries, documents you supply and interactions with the website. Please provide information you are authorised to share. Remove unnecessary personal details and confidential third-party information from uploaded documents.
You may contact us with a general question without giving your full details. We may need contact, location or farm information to respond meaningfully or provide a farm-specific review. Fields marked as required must be completed to submit the relevant form; you can contact us by email if you prefer.
How we use information
We use enquiry information to respond to you, understand your requirements, review information you supply, discuss suitable products or programs, provide support and keep records of our dealings. Technical information helps us operate, maintain, analyse and protect the website and investigate errors or unwanted submissions.
If you request research updates or subscribe to a mailing list, your subscription details may be used to send the updates you requested. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing email or contact us at the address below. A request to unsubscribe does not prevent a reply to an enquiry you have made.
Service providers and disclosures
Website information may be handled by providers supporting hosting, website forms, email delivery, data storage, analytics, spam prevention, maps and embedded content. The site uses WordPress/Automattic services, WPForms and Google services. Website forms may generate email notifications and store submissions within the website systems.
We may also share information where needed to deal with your request, where you authorise a referral or collaboration, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law. Before supplying information through a third-party application or following a link to another website, review that provider’s privacy information.
Cookies, analytics and maps
The site uses analytics and website statistics, including Google and Automattic/Jetpack services. Maps and other embedded services may receive technical information when they load. A location search sends the location you enter to the mapping service. If you choose to allow your browser to share your device location, that information may be used to find nearby stockists.
You can manage cookies through your browser and control location permission in your browser settings. Blocking cookies or third-party services may affect forms, maps, embedded media or other website features. Logging into a website account also uses cookies to maintain the session.
Overseas processing
Some providers operate internationally, so information may be stored or processed outside Australia, including in the United States and other locations used by those providers. Locations depend on the service and its configuration. Further details are available in the Automattic privacy policy and Google privacy policy. Contact us if you need more information about the handling of information for a particular enquiry.
Storage, security and retention
Information may be held in website records, email systems, uploaded files and related business records. Access is managed through the accounts and permissions used for those systems. No online service or email transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Retention depends on the purpose of the record, our ongoing dealings with you, operational requirements and applicable legal obligations. Copies may remain in email archives, system logs or backups. Contact us to ask about access, correction or deletion; some records may need to be retained for legal, security or administrative reasons.
Access, correction and privacy concerns
You can ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, ask about deletion or raise a privacy concern. We may need to verify your identity and clarify the information you are requesting before responding.
Email info@happysoils.com.au, call 0431 060 155, or write to Happy Soils, 5/25 Centre Way, Croydon South VIC 3136. Please use “Privacy enquiry” in the email subject and describe your request or concern. We will review it and respond. If your concern remains unresolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner for information about available complaint options.
Other websites and changes
This policy applies to the Happy Soils website. Linked websites, including the separate Urban Green Farms store, have their own privacy information. We may update this policy as website features or information-handling practices change; the updated version and date will appear on this page.
