Happy Soils Program

Horticulture & Orchards Program

Biological support for orchards, vegetables, vines, berries and high-value crops where root health, nutrient density, stress tolerance and crop consistency matter.

High-value crops need consistent soil function

In horticulture and orchards, small losses in establishment, flowering, fruit set, stress tolerance or quality can become expensive quickly. The Happy Soils program supports the biological and nutritional conditions required for stronger root systems, better nutrient access and more resilient crop performance.

Root development

Supports root branching, root-zone activity and nutrient access during establishment and active growth.

Quality consistency

Supports mineral availability, plant function and resilience during quality-critical production windows.

Stress support

Helps crops respond to heat, water stress, transplant shock and seasonal pressure when applied at the right timing.

Standard Horticulture & Orchard Application Rates

Timing Product Rate Objective
Pre-plant / bed preparation / seasonal reset Heal N’ Shield Granules 20–30 kg/ha provisional Biological establishment, soil conditioning and root-zone support.
Pre-plant / early root flush Activate 30 L/ha Carbon feeding, microbial stimulation and soil structure support.
Active vegetative growth Energise Microelements 2.5 L/ha standard; 5 L/ha high demand Supports growth, micronutrient availability and plant function.
Pre-flowering / fruit set / crop stress Energise Microelements 2.5–5 L/ha Supports flowering, fruit set, stress tolerance and quality.
High-value crop follow-up Energise Microelements Up to 10 L/ha only under agronomic direction Reserved for high-demand correction or intensive crop programs.
Energise Microelements is a micronutrient product and must be handled accordingly. Use appropriate PPE, avoid spray drift and prevent release to waterways.

New plantings

For new plants and trees, Heal N’ Shield Granules may be applied into the planting hole as a biological establishment support.

Planting Type Heal N’ Shield Granules Rate Application Note
Small plants 10 g per plant provisional Apply into the planting hole or root-zone area.
Small trees 15 g per tree provisional Apply close to the active root-zone area.
Large trees 20 g per tree provisional Use where the planting hole or establishment zone allows even placement.
Application rates are subject to final directions, product specifications, soil test results and agronomic advice

Build the program around crop stage and value.

For horticulture and orchards, timing matters. Send through the crop type, growth stage, soil test and existing nutrition program so we can review the right biological application pathway.
