Happy Soils Program

Pasture & Livestock Program

Biological soil support for grazing systems, hay production and livestock operations where pasture recovery, feed quality, mineral availability and soil moisture matter.

Better pasture starts below the surface

Weak pasture is rarely just a seed problem. In many grazing systems the deeper issue is poor soil biology, low nutrient cycling, compaction, acidic conditions, poor root activity and limited mineral availability. The Happy Soils Pasture & Livestock Program is designed to rebuild soil function so pasture can recover harder, hold better and produce stronger feed.

Pasture recovery

Supports post-grazing recovery, root activity and biological nutrient cycling through the active growing season.

Feed quality

Designed to support mineral availability, clover response, pasture density and forage energy.

Soil moisture

Improves soil function so pasture systems can make better use of available rainfall and irrigation.

Standard Pasture Application Rates

Timing Product Rate Use Case
Late winter / early spring Heal N’ Shield Granules 20–30 kg/ha provisional Use higher rate for poor pasture, low organic matter, sandy soil, compacted soil or weak biological activity.
Early pasture growth / seasonal activation Activate 30 L/ha Carbon soil conditioner to support microbial activity and root-zone function.
Active growth / post-grazing recovery Energise Microelements 2.5 L/ha standard; 5 L/ha high demand Supports plant recovery, mineral availability and stress response.
Feed pressure / hay production / seasonal stress Energise Microelements 2.5 L/ha follow-up where justified Use where pasture demand, deficiency pressure or production target justifies the extra pass.
For livestock systems, the program should be tied to pasture quality, stocking pressure, feed gaps, clover performance, hay target and soil test results. Do not treat every paddock the same.

Where this program fits

Grazing paddocks

Use for paddocks under repeated grazing pressure where recovery speed, pasture density and soil structure are limiting performance.

Hay paddocks

Use where yield, mineral density and moisture efficiency need to be improved before cutting.

Pasture renovation

Use alongside pasture renovation where the objective is not just reseeding, but rebuilding the soil engine underneath the pasture.

Stop treating pasture as just a fertiliser problem.

Send through your soil test, pasture type, livestock numbers and current input program. We will review the best biological pathway for pasture recovery and feed quality.
